Why do my Bluetooth PCB fail to pair with Android 7.1 version but work properly with iphone?

It's detecting equipment, Bluetooth emergency alarm. Mobile application for activation button via Bluetooth can not work properly on Android 7.1. If i use iPhone all is ok. Why?

If iPhone can connect to the Bluetooth PCB, that means, at least, PCBA is good. The most possible reason is the Bluetooth version.

Bluetooth version is not compatible. Bluetooth is a communication protocol. If the Bluetooth headset supports a version of the Bluetooth protocol that is not compatible with other devices, the connection will fail.

  • Try to consult Bluetooth chip suppliers and you can get a clear list of compatible phone.
  • If you are a retailer, it would be better to classify this product by various Bluetooth versions before recommending products with proper Bluetooth to your customer. It is a good way to ensure consumer satisfaction in terms of product and sales service.

Is solder mask a valid electrical insulator?

There is a copper pour over the entire top of the my PCB, which is part of GND net. It turns out that the surface mounted 1W LEDs I’m going to use have the heat slug connected internally to the LED’s +ve terminal. Can I rely on the solder mask to insulate the +ve voltage (~3V ish) from GND? Long term?

How can I separate PCB antenna and SMA connector?

I am designing a prototype PCB for a Lora node. It will have an SMA connector (J2) and a PCB antenna. Switching RF connectors are not available in my area, so as an amateur enthusiast what is a good way to separate the antennas?
