Two key reasons.

  • The underlying chips that make both the transmission and reception of wireless power are very expensive. The PCB (printplaten) and metals used are very common, but the actual chips that do all the work are not cheap. There are few companies that offer them right now.
  • Wireless charging is relatively inefficient, which is why it releases a lot of heat. To minimize heat you have to do a lot of tricks including passive air cooling, as well as decently complex magnetic field compression via uniquely located magnets with the opposite polarity of the main field.

Wat anderen vragen

Are SMT components bad for high voltage applications?

Many assembly factories are asking for SMT jobs, while I think through hole would be a better option for a high voltage application. Before the high voltage project is started, we need to make a call on SMT or Through hole parts. Is there a study on this?

Is PCB poisonous?

We are a green energy brand which sells solar water heater. All of our products are almost use PCB. And we want to know whether it is poisonous to human and environment?
