In common, a prototype board is the same as the production board unless it is assembled by a different company or production line. If any problems are found in the prototype, the design will be fixed before production is started.

While bored recently, I decided to take apart a few old pieces of electronic equipment and attempt to reverse-engineer them. I’ve been doing pretty well, but I’ve come to an IC that I can identify but doesn’t seem to exist on the manufacturer’s website.
I know that using leaded process for lead-free BGA chips is not acceptable, because the solder balls of the BGA will not melt and the joint will be unreliable. But now BGA chip is only available in lead-free balls. is it ok to solder leaded BGA chips with a lead-free (dus, higher temperature) werkwijze?
The assembly note states: Bake bare PCBs in a clean and well ventilated oven prior to assembly at 125*C for 24 uren. Why is this necessary?
