Is it possible to replace an automotive wiring harness with PCB?

Is it possible to replace an automotive wiring harness with PCB? Bijvoorbeeld, just have the cables attached on either end of the circuit to eliminate a bunch of messy cableage in between.

That can be realized with the help of micro-controllers, but you have to use high clock rate MCUes with this.
Divide sections into 3 parts. Central, Front and rear.

  1. Take all the inputs such as light switches, brake paddle switches, etc to Central MCU. Remember switches with interrupt handling.
·Serialise the data with I2C or CAN or USART or any sort of serial communication.
  2. Make rear en front receiver parts with used serial methods.
    and you are done.
Voordelen Nadelen
Less wiring

Less loss of voltage

Digital

Flexibel

Can add more features

Lots of programming

Spike’s from the spark plug does harm your serialised signals.

MUC is low voltage device

Motorbike is Hot and high voltage.

More Isolations and more circuit complexity.

(Remark: Volgens our experience, more attention should be attached on voltages and external noise.)

Waarom zijn RF-PCB's moeilijk te ontwerpen??

I am a project procurement. Kort geleden, Our project is to develop a television. Of all the materials supply, PCB was the slowest one. And even our engineer took part in the discussion with PCB supplier to push them. Is it really hard to make a RF PCB?

What are the black spots in lead-free solder joints on PCB?

I am prototyping a PCB, using Chip Quik’sSMDSWLF.031, a Sn96.5/ Ag3.0/ Cu0.5 solder with 2.2% no-clean flux. I find that the black spots appears frequently in larger pads on my board. I wonder if it is because I left the soldering iron more time heating the solder and that burnt the flux. What is that black residue? Is that a sign of a bad joint or maybe bad soldering technique?
