Schematics don’t do you much good on today’s high-tech electronics. Most high-tech electronics nowadays use custom chips or FPGAs so a schematic that shows all the signals going in and out of a magic proprietary chip won’t do you any good.
A lot of lower-tech components that perhaps use discrete parts, relays, discrete resistors, etc. do have schematics on the inside of the case or available online.

I design a PCB file for samples and send it to manufacturer, but the samples can’t work now. We are trouble shooting the reason now. What are the common reasons you have met in a wrong PCB?
Recently we are developing a portable device which should be very tiny and light. In terms of PCB design, I am thinking whether it is a good idea to exclude ground plane to minimize the product size.
There is nothing about weight in the substrate datasheets I found.
Between CEM-3 or FR4, which is the lightest material ? What is the average weight by surface for CEM-3 boards ?
