What board can be used as foundation for building a power electronic converter?

The power electronic converter is for high power application. I am going to design it for a new project. Any useful advice?

You need to take power dissipation into consideration.
You must also calculate the current rating through the circuit and design the PCB track width accordingly.
The quality of the PCB material should also be considered. Low-quality PCBs would get damaged easily due to the heavy current carried by the track.
Apart from these things you should also take care of all safety features so that the circuit does not get shorted at any point if time during Power On time.

I guess Glass Epoxy PCBs give a better result than copper-clad PCBs.
